چکیده
Abstract Nuclear deformations are fundamentally important in nuclear physics. We recently developed a multidimensionally constrained relativistic Hartree–Bogoliubov (MDCRHB) model, which all multipole respecting the V 4 symmetry can be considered self-consistently. In this work we extend model by incorporating angular momentum projection and parity to restore rotational symmetries broken mean-field level. This projected MDCRHB (p-MDCRHB) enables us connect certain spectra exotic intrinsic shapes such as triangles or tetrahedrons. present details of method an exemplary calculation for 12 C. develop triangular moment constraint generate configurations consisting three α clusters arranged equilateral triangle. The resulting C consistent with that from rigid rotor large separations between clusters. also calculate B ( E 2) 3) values low-lying states find good agreement experiments.

متن کاملSymmetry-projected Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov Equations
Symmetry-projected Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) equations are derived using the variational ansatz for the generalized one-body density-matrix in the Valatin form. It is shown that the projected-energy functional can be completely expressed in terms of the HFB density-matrix and the pairing-tensor. The variation of this projected-energy is shown to result in HFB equations with modified express...
متن کاملDeformed Relativistic Hartree-bogoliubov Model for Exotic Nuclei
A deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (DRHB) model is developed aiming at a proper description of exotic nuclei, particularly deformed ones with large spatial extension. In order to give an adequate description of both the contribution of the continuum and the large spatial distribution in exotic nuclei, the DRHB equations are solved in a Woods-Saxon basis in which the radial wave function...
متن کاملRelativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov and RPA description of exotic nuclear structure
A review of recent applications of the relativistic mean-field theory to the structure of exotic nuclei is presented. Models based on the relativistic mean-field approximation provide a microscopically consistent description of the nuclear many-body problem, not only in nuclei along the valley of β-stability, but also in exotic nuclei with extreme isospin values and close to the particle drip l...
